Susan Preston

Director

Susan Preston is the Managing Partner of SeaChange Fund, where she fosters entrepreneurial growth in the Pacific Northwest through early-stage investments. She is a savvy angel investor and globally recognized author, consultant and speaker on angel and venture financing. Susan has worked in senior management of early-stage companies and was a partner in three law firms. She has taught in the MBA program at the University of Washington and is former chair and lead instructor for the Angel Resource Institute. A resident of Newcastle, Susan received her JD, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law and her BS, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, in Microbiology and Public Health from Washington State University. She has served as a director on more than 35 boards of private and public entities.

Richard C. Darrow

President & Chief Executive Officer

Rick Darrow is committed to community banking.  As president of Liberty Bay Bank, he views his role as driver, team builder, and risk manager.

Rick has over 30 years of senior and executive management experience in community banking.  During his career, he has always been interested in sustained growth and partnerships.  He was a Founding Executive of Charter Bank, an innovative relationship-oriented community bank in Bellevue, Washington.  Throughout his career, Rick has honed his leadership, business relationship banking, and investing skills at robust institutions such as University Savings Bank, Enterprise Bank, and Washington Mutual.

Rick holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington.

Ron Roark

Director

Ronald E. Roark has lived in Gig Harbor since 2002. He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crown NorthCorp Inc. (Crown), an international specialty financial services firm that Ron co-founded in 1977. He has brought his experience with corporate policy, risk management, and asset management to many boards including: Crown Westfalen Bank, Bank of Maine, and Brown Gibbons and Lang Investment Bank. Currently Ron leads the revitalization efforts of the Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard. He holds an undergraduate degree in marketing and finance from Drake University.

William Parnell

Director Emeritus & Founder

Bill moved to Washington in 1958 and has had an extensive leadership career in the construction industry in the Puget Sound area.  He led the local Building Industry Association, was elected as President of the State Association in 1987, and then served as the National Representative for Washington State. In 2001, he was inducted into the BIAW Hall of Fame.  A resident of Kingston since 1962, Bill has also been active in the community, serving on the Kitsap County Planning Commission from 1980 to 1995, and as Chairman of the Kitsap Developers Council in 2004.  He’s a member of Kingston Cove Yacht Club, and remains active in property and real estate management and investment.  Bill received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Washington in Microbiology in 1965.

Joseph Michelsen

Co-Chairman & Founder

A Seattle-born long-time resident of the Northwest, Joe has been involved in commercial real estate in Kitsap County and the Puget Sound region for over 30 years.  He developed expertise in brokerage, development, leasing and sales, and is presently a Commercial Realtor with Windermere Commercial Real Estate.  Joe serves on the board of directors of Pacific Northwest Title of Kitsap County, and he is the President of Kitsap Commercial and Investment Brokers Association-Kitsap County.  He also serves on the board of West Puget Sound Youth for Christ.  Joe has a Bachelor of Arts from Western Washington State University and a Masters from Pepperdine University. After graduation he became a Navy pilot and was on active duty until 1979.

Jefferey Uberuaga

Director & Founder

Jeff grew up in North Kitsap and has lived and worked in the region during his entire career. He now co-owns two Red Apple stores, one in Poulsbo and one in Bremerton, and he operates the Poulsbo store.  He helped start a successful Kitsap County automotive dealership, building it over the course of 20 years into a company with more than 60 employees and selling his interest in 2010.  Jeff is a member of the Northwest Grocery Association, has served on the board of the Poulsbo Historical Society, and is very active in community projects including Fishline. He brings a special passion for supporting the success of local businesses and the regional economy to his board service.

Eric Anderson

Co-Chairman & Founder

Eric has a passion for the challenges facing Kitsap businesses and became involved as a bank founder in 2006.  He is the owner of Art Anderson Associates, an award-winning 50 year-old family business in Bremerton which is deeply involved in transportation planning, engineering, and design of industrial and marine projects for a broad range of commercial clients throughout the United States.  Eric is past Chairman of the Bremerton Housing Authority Board of Commissioners and has been active with numerous regional and national trade associations. A Bremerton native, Eric received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1972.
